The Purpose of EPD
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) or Type III ecolabel exists to ensure transparent, verified and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of products. With an EPD, industry should be able to communicate all relevant environmental information along a product's value or supply chain, continuously improve to select the best eco-design options and comply with laws around high-volume consumer products.
Environmental Product Declaration in Southeast Asia
The global network of the International EPD System is expanding into South East Asia with a new international hub - EPD Southeast Asia. EPD Southeast Asia’s office is located in Jakarta and offers its services in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and The Philippines. The hub is responsible for marketing and sales activities to manufacturers who are located in these countries and want to publish their EPDs with The International EPD System.
Process of EPD Registration

If Available
STEP 2
Check PCR Availability
You need to follow PCR to perform Life Cycle Analysis for EPD, Check in our website, whether your product’s PCR is available or not
If Unavailable
Develop New PCR
You may consult with EPD South East Asia Secretariat for PCR development
STEP 3
Perform LCA (based on PCR)
If the PCR of your product is available, the next step is to perform Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based on the PCR and compile it in accordance with our EPD General Instruction
STEP 5
Verification
Your EPD Document have to be verified by valid independent verifiers before registration for EPD
STEP 6
Registration and Publication
The Organisation developing the EPD shall submit the EPD to the Secretariat. The Publication date in the EPD should be set to the date when the documentation is submitted
